You cannot win walking on the beaten path. On a new path, you may get lost, but have a chance to win.
Do not compete. Reinvent and run so fast that no one catch you – you will surely win the race. If you do not reinvent yourself regularly, someone else will and push you out of the game.
Networking tip: When you meet people do not tell them what you need from them. Ask them how you can help them in what they are doing.
The best way to document a software requirement is by interactively drawing the flow of data and activities as you speak to the client.
