I have no more tolerance for the word 'tolerance'. Let's use 'sensitive' instead. Two sides of the same coin.
To set digital marketing metrics and goals:
- start with low level goals like cost per lead
- improve it to cost per unit sale
- and then mature it to revenue/cost ratio
- and finally to LTV/cost
The more expensive and exclusive the wisdom is (made to look), the more seriously the recipient consumes and applies (not always) it.
In a noisy, low-trust world, the source of wisdom holds more importance than the wisdom.
Entrepreneurship is about giving, not taking.
It takes people years to understand, and hence most keep struggling and are unhappy in this beautiful journey.
People who had never done a start-up on their own will never be able to respect a start-up. Eco-system guys need to have empathy.

Great leadership is not done at the head of the column, but at the heart of the team. John Hunt is hardly celebrated for the 1953 ascent, but he was the real architect and the big difference.
Even though the world celebrates the face of any event, it is the team which works together selflessly to achieve the goal. There are more unsung heroes than the celebrated ones. Being celebrated is a big function of luck and timing, given all the other factors being constant.
Scalability of overhyped.
Scalability has no value without sustainability.
Think sustainability. Think of sustained impact. Great if it can be done at scale.
Bootstrapping is bliss. Embrace it if you can. It’s a myth that you cannot scale bootstrapped businesses.
VC money puts you on a treadmill. It is not for everyone. It punishes mediocre (not necessarily bad) output, and kills more businesses than it builds.
There is a crazy obsession with reading more and more books. It’s a great one, but it is not a competition.
- It is more imp to absorb the books well.
- Most things written in books are views and opinion. Don’t take them for facts.
- Reading is useless without thinking.
With every passing day speed and trust are becoming bigger differentiators. Think lean and agile.
Think about experience and word of mouth.
