This is mostly about utilizing the key strengths and capabilities to drive the core value creation activity, which delivers the ROI for the organisation.

This is generally the boring part of any job.

It is key to:
– balance the two
– set the right expectations
– have regular check-in to ensure that organisation and team member is in alignment

Not doing it right can result in either burnout or missed business goals.

There is no right formula.

It depends upon the industry, company, and the role. Besides it is also dependent on the individual and the phase of the career he is in.

It is important to be aware, and consciously design the key objectives and responsibilities of an individual.
