The COVID crisis ignited my long lost interest in Chess, and I enjoyed learning and playing on chess (dot) com.

Recently, I was playing a game where I lost some key pieces early on. I was left with my King and a Pawn. My opponent was left with a King and a Knight. Funnily enough, the moment I lost my Pawn, the game drew citing <insufficient material>. I tried a simulation and saw what would happen if my opponent’s Knight gets killed. The game continues.

So, in a way, in the end, game, the game is ON till a Pawn is present, but ends when Knight is present as a companion.

That got me thinking! The message I derive from this:

People who are foot soldiers, flexible, and have the resilience to survive the ordeal are far more powerful than the privileged and those who are put in a mold from the beginning.

The message of agility, unlearning-and-learning is hidden in every nook-and-corner. It is up to us when we pick these up and apply in our life.

Also, as leaders, you got must promote your Pawns above other privileged pieces in your business, if they show intent, courage, and capability. There is no fixed destiny.
